I'm sorry to ask a stupid question, but… well, is there? I taped "100," and the recording cuts out just shy of the end. I can't find a promo for "The Slave of Duty" on YouTube (just promo photos), and I've never been able to find them on CBS's site, just the highlights from the episode just aired. Which seems odd.

Is there a promo for this episode someplace really obvious that I'm missing, or are they doing without this week? And in general, are they posted on the official site in some laughably easy-to-find spot that I nevertheless fail to find each week?

Sooooo out-of-fucking-NOWHERE last night my blackberry just...lost all mobile connection. If I try to reset it it will connect for a few seconds and then go and disconnect again. So I call Telus from my house phone (cuz I can't even call out or answer the phone either as it goes straight to voicemail) to go "Umm...wtf you guys?" and WHAT do they tell me?

"Oh. Yeah sounds like you need a new phone. Something's busted in yours. Sorry. Oh but you can get a replacement for for $249 because you're no longer under warranty!! :D :D :D"

So it's either do that, or have no phone at all and still pay the rest of my contract. So I'm getting a new phone. That is red. Because I was angry.

Seriously, I'm so mad that it just...broke like that. I'm totally going to another service provider next year when my contract is up because this is ridiculoooous.

So, I was watching the Criminal Minds marathon on A&E today and rewatched a lot of the episodes from season 4.
I don't know if you all remember the exact episode, so I'll give a brief synopsis under the cut.

Seemingly I am gifted with the ability to entertain myself on solo road trips. I moo at cows and um, try to whinny at horses except it sounds like a strangled dolphin, and sort of make commentary at whatever state I'm in like they are an active audience. I do not sing along to the radio so much as like, yowl along, rapping my hands on the steering wheel and bouncing fit to send my head through the car roof. Honest to God I'd never be friends with me.

One thing that caught my interest was the occasional freaky discrepancy between the quality of a roadside pit stop and that of its bathroom. For instance I pulled over at a weird hybrid lovechild of a gas station, Italian restaurant and Taco Bell in Nowhere, Middle Of, expecting a ladies' room that sported a coat of grime to match the station. So like you can imagine my surprise when I step into a magnificently tiled, gleaming, spotless loo with shining handles and faucets and well-maintained trash cans. There may have been a warp zone set squarely in the door frame that divided the Taco Bell/station/Italian place and um, the Star Trek Enterprise.

Today I stood for eight hours at the bookstore and humored customers while they delivered the same tired jokes. I usually am stationed a few spots down the cashwrap and the damn thing's nearly tall as me so I kind of have to stand on tip toe to attract customers that are weirdly determined not to notice a register more than three feet away. I just bought $1 antlers from Target so they'd pop up in the shoppers' line of vision.
